Sometimes a layover is inevitable. If you’re traveling with children, especially if you’re travelling alone with children, having the option of an airport lounge is a game changer. Between the comfy seating, free food/drink & clean bathrooms, there isn’t much to complain about. Anything that makes travel with children easier and more comfortable is a win in our book.Read More
We recently visited Keukenhof in Lisse, The Netherlands. This world famous Flower Park dates back to the 1500s starting as a fruit and vegetable garden. Once Keukenhof Castle was built, landscape architects came in and designed the basis of what is now Keukenhof Gardens. Today, Keukenhof is home to over seven million blooming flowers and allows visitors from all over the world to experience living catalogs from over 100 companies and 500 flower growers. If you're visiting The Netherlands in the spring, Keukenhof and the surrounding gardens must be on your list.Read More
We are Florida residents. We live at one of the most beautiful beaches in America; Pensacola Beach. Going to the beach is as common as going to the park during warmer weather. After many trials, we've put together our favorite items for Beach trips with Toddlers (and babies).Read More
Bern is often one of the forgotten cities of Switzerland; overshadowed by places like Zermatt, Zurich & the towns surrounding the peaks of Jungfrau & Schilthorn. The thing is, Bern is the Capitol of Switzerland. It's central to seemingly everything in Switzerland. It was perfect for us. We booked a 4 night stay in a highly rated Airbnb.Read More
Packing light has become my focus lately. With 2 toddlers, it is very easy for us to over pack our bags. We have traveled with so many bags that between the two of us, we couldn't carry all the stuff and the kids. That is not how I want to travel. We want to be efficient, but also have all of our necessities when we arrive.Read More
“Fast forward about 10 months and we were on our way. Our day in Vaduz ended up being one of my favorite days of the entire 21 day trip. This little country is a must-see on your European journey.”Read More
“The real question we as parents need to ask ourselves is: Is the short duration of the flight worth skipping an entire adventure? For us, the answer is no. We take them. We get through the flights. We get through the mile high poop diapers & melt downs. We get through by finding some really great ways of dealing with all that comes with bringing the kids along for life's ultimate adventures.”Read More
Asheville was everything we hoped for. The setting in the Blue Ridge Mountains is fantastic, the hiking and outdoor actives are endless, the food is to die for, and the breweries leave nothing to be desired. There is truly something for every age group in this beautiful city. Whether you're heading there for a long weekend or a mid-roadtrip stopover, you won't be disappointed.Read More
We recently had an issue with a flight being canceled. This resulted in me having to rent a car and drive from Houston, Texas to Pensacola, Florida with my 1 and 2-year-old by myself. OH and all we had with us was our diaper bag plus our Pockit Travel Stroller.Read More
We recently spent a week in San Antonio while visiting my husband on one of his work trips. This multicultural city was more than I had imagined it was going to be. I was born and raised in South East Texas for 11.5 years before moving to Virginia. I am familiar with Texas, but I was happily surprised with this family friendly city and all of it’s delicious food.Read More

"Our trip was a whirlwind and there is so much more of Montreal I would love to see. However, if you only have a short stopover, it's totally worth getting out and seeing this beautiful city. You won't be disappointed." TaviaRead More
"Budapest has to be on our most surprisingly wonderful cities we've ever traveled too. As a matter of fact, it's one of the few places I would visit again just to have more time there. It's beautiful, friendly, family oriented and feels especially magical when standing on the banks of the Danube. If you're making a list of must-see places, put Budapest towards the top."
As soon as we entered the Aquarium, I knew our 2-year old was going to love it. The entrance is decorated with 3 life size sharks; including a Whale Shark! After a quick stop in the lobby for a preemptive potty break, we make our way around to walk through the Great Maya Reef. I LOVE WALK-THROUGH AQUARIUMS. This surrounding view of the sharks, sting rays and fish is impressive. We walked through as three scuba divers were cleaning, feeding the fish and one was carving a pumpkin!! Yes, he was IN THE TANK carving his Halloween pumpkin! It was humorous and impressive as he had to fend off several curious sting rays!Read More
"Now, I don't know what voodoo is attached to this dang DockATot, but it worked a true miracle that only sleep deprived parents can fully appreciate. It took our crappy sleeper and flipped her to sleeping champ. A couple weeks after using it, she was sleeping through the night without waking at all. We became functioning humans again."
"One question I always get when people ask me about traveling is "How do you afford it?" Well, let me be really honest with you: WE. ARE. NOT. RICH. We do not have sponsorships. (Although I wouldn't turn them down ;) -- HINT HINT AIRBNB) WE PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR ALL OF OUR LEISURE TRAVEL. We are a military family with two kids living off of ONE paycheck. The only answer I can think of is: Priority. We prioritize traveling. We don't do huge home improvement projects, drive fancy cars, live in huge house, etc. We put our money where our interests are: travel. Here are 8 ways we are able to afford traveling more than once a year:"
