New Orleans, Louisiana- October 2017 - Airbnb
This was a hands-down 5-Star stay. Two bedrooms, full kitchen, FREE off-street parking, laundry, dedicated entrance, etc. But the HOSTS made this stay amazing. They set out toys, child cutlery, made sure we had a floor bed for the toddler and even stocked the fridge and pantry with kid-friendly food and drinks. They went above and beyond to make our stay and our entire experience amazing. We used the New Orleans tourism books they left out too. This apartment is a MUST if you're traveling to NOLA!
It's also worth saying that we accidently left our daughter's favorite lovey at the apartment and the host MAILED IT TO US the very next day!!! SO grateful!
Destin, Florida - September 2017 - Airbnb
The residence had a dedicated entrance for our room and a private bathroom. There was a pool, lot's of shopping nearby and very close to the beach. The hosts left coffee, light refreshments, wi-fi password, and toiletries for us. The place was very clean, easy to find and there was on-location parking. The closet was huge, so our daughter actually used that as her bedroom for the night and our son slept in a pack-n-play. This is the first time we have stayed in a shared living style apartment, but it was fantastic.
Washington, D.C. - September 2017 - Airbnb
This Airbnb was perfect for a small family. It is a traditional row-house, so the 2 bedrooms and 1 bath are located upstairs while the kitchen/living room are downstairs. Everything was very nice and well kept. We used sound machines to block the street and neighbor noise. The front room can get very bright in the morning, so maybe try using a portable blackout curtain in there. The apartment was within walking distance to the Metro, restaurants, Starbucks, and a large grocery store. Check-in was simple. There are washing machines/dryer for you to use, some toiletries, and plenty of towels.
Easton, MD - Sepetmeber 2017 - The Tidewater Inn
We stayed at the Tidewater for 3 nights. They have an incredible staff that helped us get all of our stuff up to our room. Orgininally they told us that the Junior King Suite was a large room with a sitting area, but when we arrived we found our room actually had a bedroom with bathroom and a connecting living room with bathroom. It was great to be able to give each kid their own sleeping areas and plenty of room for the kids to move around. The hotel has on campus dining, a couple bars and is perfectly located downtown. You can easily walk to restaurants, coffee shops and parking is close. It's a short drive to a couple box stores. Free wi-fi was included.
Jay, Vermont - May 2017 - Jay Peak Resort
We were in town for a wedding, but we had an incredible stay at Jay Peak. We rented a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo on the resort property. The condo had a full kitchen (with utensils/pots), ample parking, a washer/dryer, two very comfortable Queen beds and the couch in the living room could pull out to a bed. There are two places on the resort property to stock up on groceries and plenty of restaurants to choose from. We used the resort's in-room babysitting service two nights of our trip. It was nice to be able to enjoy ourselves and know our kids were being well taken care of.
Montreal, Canada - May 2017 - Airbnb
We spent 2 days and one night in Montreal. We stayed in 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment. The apartment had a washer/dryer and full kitchen. The apartment was located very close to many restaurants, some small grocery stores and very close to several metro stops. Parking was a bit challenging, but manageable. Definitely bring a good sound machine for this apartment because the neighbors are up late and can be loud. Other than the noise, we really enjoyed this apartment and it's location.
Budapest, Hungary - April 2017 - Airbnb
The apartment was a spacious 3 bedroom. We stayed for 3 nights with 4 adults and 2 babies. We had difficulty finding the apartment and check-in was a bit complicated. No one was physically there to meet us, so it was all by phone/e-mail. The pillows were awful and there were only 4 towels for 6 guests. However, the location of this apartment is amazing. It is DIRECTLY in front of St Stephens Basilica and a short walking distance to public transit/everything else in Budapest. We would definitely stay here again, but we'd bring our own pillows & towels :) (Also the washer wasn't working while we were there, but Peter told us the day before check-in -- a place down the street washed/folded our clothes for $30)
Vienna, Austria - April 2017 - Airbnb
This apartment is SO nice. We traveled with 4 adults and 2 babies under 2. We were provided a baby cot and high chair, plus there were toys and games in the apartment for the kids! The bedrooms are large with comfortable beds. One large centrally located bathroom with a bathtub. The apartment is in walking distance to down town (maybe 25-30 minutes?) but there is a metro stop only 5-7 minutes walking. There are several grocery stores very close to the apartment and a few restaurants/coffee shops! Also belvedere palace is right next to the apartment! The washer was great for us -- with two babies in tow we wash our clothes frequently. It was convenient to be able to wash and dry our clothes in the apartment! Overall our stay was great! Definitely recommend this apartment!
Krakow, Poland - April 2017 - Airbnb
This apartment was AMAZING. We traveled with 4 adults and 2 babies under 2. Check-in was extremely easy and someone was waiting for us to help us get in. The apartment is on the 3rd floor. We were provided a baby cot, high chair and even a baby bathtub. The bedrooms are nice sized with comfortable beds. One large bathroom with a shower and one small bathroom with a toilet/sink. The apartment is PERFECTLY located. It's directly next to Planty, has many restaurants and coffee shops directly around and is only 2 minutes walking from the main square. The washer/dryer made our stay even easier because we were able to do our laundry & with two babies that was such a relief. Overall our stay was great! Definitely recommend this apartment! If you visit Kraków -- STAY HERE.
Prague, Czech Republic - April 2017 - Airbnb
This place was a great stop for us. We traveled with 4 adults and 2 babies under 2. We were provided a real baby crib! The bedrooms are large with comfortable beds. One large bathroom with a bathtub and one small bathroom with a shower. The shower's handles were a little difficult to manage and the water can get VERY hot. We loved having the big tub to bathe the babies. The apartment is in walking distance to down town (maybe 25 minutes?) but there is a tram stop directly in front of the apartment and a metro stop only 2 minutes walking. There are several coffee shops and restaurants near the hotel and a grocery store next to the metro stop! The washer was not usable for our stay, but there was a laundry mat down the street. It is self-service or they offer a 3-Day turn around for wash/fold. Overall our stay was great! Definitely recommend this apartment!
Las Vegas, Nevada - March 2016 - Hilton Grand Vacation Suites on the Las Vegas Strip
Tucson, Arizona - January 2016 - JW Marriott
Sorrento, Italy - November 2015 - Airbnb
Rome, Italy - November 2015 - Airbnb
Florence, Italy - November 2015 - Airbnb
Venice, Italy - November 2015 - Hotel Corte Grimani
We stayed here with 4 adults and 1 baby, so we opted for the 2 bedroom apartment. It was larger than I expected and VERY well located. Maybe 2 minutes walking from Piazza San Marco...if you were walking slow. The apartment had laundry, a full kitchen, a very friendly and English speaking staff. This hotel does have an elevator. The hotel also provided a baby cot so we didn't have to bring one with us. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling with more than 2 adults. (photo of the canal is the actual entrance to the hotel)
Innsbruck, Austria - November 2015 - IBIS Innsbruck
We only spent one night in Innsbruck, so this hotel was PERFECT. It is INSIDE the train station and easily walkable to all of the major sights. The hotel was very clean, offered breakfast, had a coffee bar, and was recently updated. We had a simple studio style room. The hotel provided a baby cot for us so we didn't have to bring one. This hotel does have an elevator. Innsbruck was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and I highly HIGHLY recommend visiting this city to everyone.
Munich, Germany - November 2015 - Holiday Inn Munich - South
This was our very first international stay with a baby. We were able to take a train from the airport to Marienplatz and then get a connecting train out to our hotel. The hotel had a restaurant/bar, English speaking staff and decently sized rooms. We took full advantage of the room service. The location is in a residential area and not close to popular attractions, but it was very quiet and felt very safe. The hotel provided a packnplay, so we didn't have to travel with one. I would stay here again.
