Tavia Carlson, Founder

Hello Nomads!  A little about me: I am 30 years old, mother to two precious, chubby kids.  Charletta, my daughter, is 2 and Latham, my son, is 1!  I have been married for six and a half wonderful years to my main squeeze and military man, Jimmy.  I started my adult life as an officer in United States Air Force where I served 5 amazing years.  During my service, I was able to travel the world and meet so many people.  After my second deployment we got pregnant.  While pregnant, we found out that our daughter had some medical issues and once she was born, we realized that daycare wouldn't be an option.  So, I left my career to stay home and care for our daughter.  Over the past 2 years we have traveled to 10 countries and 18 states with our kids in tow.  I have always loved to travel, but now that I have two little Nomads to share it all with, I love it even more.  I hope this site helps you Brave the skies (and roads) and I can't wait to see where life takes you.

Fly Brave. Travel Often.  See Everything.

Jimmy, The other Big Brave Nomad

Jimmy is an Air Force guy. He loves fishing, hiking, & all things relaxing. He is the most supportive husband and loves to come along on all of our adventures.  I secretly think he loves that I plan everything and he gets to reap the benefits.  It works for us because I love planning!   We love you Jimmy!

Jimmy has traveled to over 35 countries!

Charletta & Latham, Our Baby Nomads

Charletta has been a long for the ride since before she was born.  We have always continued our travels just as we did before she was Earthside.  She is a trooper.  She has endured 10 hour flights, long car rides, many many many hours in an Ergo/Tula, bouncing down cobblestone streets in her stroller while trying to nap, and now she's gracefully adjusting to her new role as "big sister." She recently hit 10 countries traveled!

Latham has jumped on board the travel train too.  He went on his first cross-country road trip at 4 weeks old and has visited 6 countries and 13 States.  He has come accustomed to napping on the go and in the middle of chaos.  He adds so much joy to all of our adventures and keeps us on our toes!

We can't wait for all of our future endeavors together!
