After living in Barbados for three years and exploring the island extensively with my own children, I've put together a list of resorts and hotels for every family. In this guide, I'll share the best family-friendly hotels in Barbados, including all-inclusive resorts, beachside properties, and accommodations with pools, kids' activities, spacious family rooms, and easy access to the island's top attractions.

Sea Breeze Beach House - Family Friendly All Inclusive
About 10 months after we moved off the island and back to the USA, we traveled back to Barbados for a week. We stayed at the amazing Sea Breeze Beach House. This is an all inclusive, family friendly resort on Barbados’ South Coast. The property has everything you need to have the perfect family holiday.
We stayed in the two bedroom suite with one king bed and two twin beds.
We stayed in the two bedroom suite. The room was amazing with one bedroom having a king bed and the other had two twins. Both bedrooms have their own door, ample closet/storage space, and their own A/C units. As a mom who was traveling solo with 3 kids, the extra bedroom was great for getting the little ones to sleep.

The bathroom was also huge with a separate toilet space, huge bathtub, a shower, and a double sink vanity. It made morning and bedtime routines so much easier than a small combine bathroom you’ll find in other hotels.
The main living area of our room had a couch with a large TV, more storage, a mini fridge, coffee maker, tea kettle, and a desk area. The room also had a spacious balcony with ocean views.

As far as on-site amenities, Sea Breeze offers it all. They have several on-site restaurants; from casual to fancy, they have a kids club, 2 swimming pools (plus one adults only pool), an airconditioned gym, water sports like kayaking, paddle boarding, and even sailing, nightly entertainment, daily resort activities like Bingo, mixology classes, and yoga, and so much more!

If you have a family size of 5 or more and are looking for where to stay in Barbados with a large family, Sea Breeze Beach House is the perfect option. Their suites go up to 4 bedroom and can sleep up to 12. That means your entire family can plenty of space to spend the perfect holiday in Barbados!

The Crane Resort - Family Friendly
The Crane Resort is located on Barbados' scenic southeast coast and combines spacious villa-style accommodations with resort amenities. It is an excellent choice for families traveling with kids of all ages. Unlike many traditional hotel rooms, accommodations range from suites to multi-bedroom residences, giving families plenty of space to spread out.

We stayed in a three-bedroom residence that felt more like a luxury vacation home than a hotel room. The condo featured a full kitchen, multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, a spacious living area, and an enormous private balcony overlooking the property.

Having a full kitchen was especially helpful for traveling with children, allowing us to prepare breakfasts, snacks, and simple meals without needing to dine out for every meal. For larger families or multi-generational trips, these larger residences provide a level of comfort and convenience that can be difficult to find elsewhere in Barbados.

One of the biggest draws of The Crane is its impressive collection of pools. The resort features five swimming pools spread throughout the property, including several cliffside pools with stunning ocean views. Because the pools are located in different areas of the resort, it never felt overly crowded, even during busy periods. We spent most of our days moving between the pools and the kids loved it!

The resort sits directly above the world-famous Crane Beach, often considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Barbados. Guests can access the beach via a scenic elevator and staircase that descends from the cliff to the shoreline below. The pink-tinged sand, turquoise water, and dramatic cliffs create a postcard-worthy setting that feels uniquely Barbadian. While the Atlantic-facing location can bring larger waves than some west coast beaches, the beach is monitored by lifeguards and remains one of the island's most iconic coastal destinations.

Families will also find plenty of activities available throughout their stay. The resort regularly offers fitness classes, cultural experiences, games, and family-friendly programming. Younger children can participate in activities through the Kid's Club, which provides supervised entertainment and crafts, giving parents an opportunity to relax by the pool or enjoy a meal on their own. The Crane also features multiple restaurants, tennis courts, a fitness center, a general store, and beautifully maintained grounds that are enjoyable to explore.
O2 Beach Club - All Inclusive, Family Friendly

For families looking for an all-inclusive resort in Barbados, O2 Beach Club & Spa offers a unique combination of luxury, convenience, and spacious accommodations on the island's lively south coast. It’s located directly on Dover Beach.

During our stay, we stayed in a one-bedroom condominium-style suite featuring a full kitchen, living area, private bedroom, balcony, and even a washer/dryer inside the unit. For families traveling with children, having extra space beyond a traditional hotel room can make a huge difference. The full kitchen was especially convenient for storing snacks and keeping drinks on hand for beach days. O2 offers a variety of accommodations ranging from luxury rooms and suites to spacious multi-bedroom residences, making it a great option for couples, small families, and larger groups alike.
One of the highlights of O2 Beach Club is its beautiful beachfront location. Dover Beach is one of the most family-friendly beaches on Barbados' south coast, offering soft sand, warm water, and generally calmer conditions than many of the island's Atlantic-facing beaches. Families can easily transition between the beach and the resort throughout the day without needing to pack up and drive elsewhere.

The resort has 2 family pools (and 2 adult only pools, including a roof top adults only pool). My kids were obsessed with the swim up bar and the poolside service at O2 is amazing.

One of the biggest advantages of staying at O2 Beach Club is the all-inclusive experience. Multiple restaurants and dining venues are included, offering everything from casual beachside meals to upscale dining experiences. We loved being able to grab snacks and drinks whenever we needed, especially the afternoon sandwiches!

While O2 is often known for its luxury atmosphere, families traveling with children will still find plenty to enjoy both on the property and in the surrounding area. Beach View Hotel is one of the best family-friendly hotels in Barbados for travelers who want the space and convenience of a vacation rental combined with the amenities of a resort. Situated just across the road from beautiful Paynes Bay, the family-owned property offers a relaxed atmosphere that works especially well for families traveling with children. Several of our friends have had visitors who stay here and absolutely love it.
One of the biggest advantages of staying at Beach View is the variety of accommodation options. Families can choose from spacious hotel rooms, one-bedroom suites, or larger two- and three-bedroom suites and villas with fully equipped kitchens. The larger suites and villas are particularly appealing for families, offering multiple bedrooms, ensuite bathrooms, separate living areas, and plenty of space for everyone to spread out after a day at the beach.

The property features four swimming pools, including a shallow children's pool, set among five acres of beautifully landscaped tropical gardens. Additional amenities include a fitness center, spa, salon, and the popular Sugar Apple Café, making it easy to spend a relaxing day without ever leaving the property.

Located on the historic Needham's Point peninsula, Hilton Barbados Resort is one of the most popular family-friendly hotels in Barbados thanks to its beachfront location, resort amenities, and proximity to many of the island's top attractions and Carlisle Bay.

One of the standout features of Hilton Barbados is its location directly adjacent to Charles Fort, a historic 17th-century fort that is part of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Historic Bridgetown and its Garrison area. I've visited the property several times to explore Charles Fort, and it's one of the most unique resort settings on the island.

One of the biggest advantages of staying at an Elegant Hotels resort is the ability to experience more than one property during your vacation. Guests staying at participating all-inclusive resorts can take advantage of complimentary water taxis along the west coast, allowing them to visit sister properties like Colony Club, Tamarind, and Crystal Cove for lunch, drinks, or a change of scenery without ever stepping foot in a car.
